Client: A YEAR WITH FROG AND TOAD
Promotional Partner: CHILDRENS MUSEUM OF MANHATTAN (CMOM)

Profile:
READING IS FUN POSTER
Strategy:
Although the Broadway musical A Year With Frog And Toad is based upon famous and much loved books, many potential partners (such as libraries, schools, bookstores, etc) have strict rules against placing advertising (such as posters or flyers) in their venues. A promotional flyer or poster would be considered "advertising."

To achieve impressions in literary venues (book stores, libraries, schools), we created a "message" poster that included the message plus visual branding, but lacked the forbidden sales information. While adhering to the "no-advertising" rule, the client was able to receive valuable impressions in a landscape that is free of competitive advertising.

Implementation:
HHC oversaw all aspects of the promotion including research of partners, negotiation of placement, creative, and administrative.
Results:
This subliminal advertising received terrific placement in all proposed venues, and first printing of 2000 was placed within one week of launch. The daily exposure of the client ensured millions of impressions during the use of the collateral. By negotiating the printing of the poster on full barter, this promotion was made possible at no cost to the client.
