Although
the Broadway musical A Year With Frog And Toad is based upon
famous and much loved books, many potential partners (such
as libraries, schools, bookstores, etc) have strict rules
against placing advertising (such as posters or flyers) in
their venues. A promotional flyer or poster would be considered
"advertising."
To achieve impressions in literary venues (book stores,
libraries, schools), we created a "message" poster
that included the message plus visual branding, but lacked
the forbidden sales information. While adhering to the "no-advertising"
rule, the client was able to receive valuable impressions
in a landscape that is free of competitive advertising.
