This "Largest Coconut Orchestra" promotion is the WINNER of the GLOBES AWARD "Best Small Budget Promotion in the WORLD!"

In celebration of MONTY PYTHON'S SPAMALOT's first year on Broadway, HHC Marketing partnered with Guinness World RecordsTM. and set the world's record for the "Largest Coconut Orchestra."

PARTICIPANTS: A total of 1,789 people participated in this event, setting the world's record (there was no prior record to break).
 
Exposure prior to the event included: News breaks in print, radio, web-blogs, email blasts and print advertising.
 

Exposure post-event: The event was attended by local and national press including 4 video crews (representing 7 networks), 15 photographers, and 4 reporters.

Strategy:
MONTY PYTHON'S SPAMALOT sought to create a huge "Buzz worthy" press event to retain its status as top of mind in the eyes of the consumer, press and industry.

Implementation:
HHC oversaw all aspects of the event including event coordination with all departments of the show, obtaining Guinness World Record's participation, vendor negotiation, staffing, scripting, creative, and administrative and creation of media partnerships.

Results:
By participating in this event, MONTY PYTHON'S SPAMALOT's received millions of impressions within the local and national media, theatre goers and Python fans alike, all at a relatively small cash cost.
